Cattaraugus River, New York
In November 2002, I had the pleasure of fishing with Allan, Kal and our guide, Mark, for Lake Erie Steelhead on the Cattaraugus River near Gowanda, NY.  The fishing was excellent.  We averaged ten fish a day weighing between five and ten pounds.  We fished nymphs and egg patterns.  I used a 9' 4 piece Accelerator 8 weight which is perfect for traveling and for fishing long leaders with large indicators and split shot.  We shall return.
